FFXIV, like all MMOs, inevitably has players take a break from the game — but the Login Campaign can surely help fix that. Every so often, Final Fantasy XIV brings players back with this campaign, allowing a bit of free game time. They understand that people fall off or complete all the content that they want to do and may miss out on something new. This happens in all MMOs, so it’s not a new thing.
However, free Login Campaigns like FFXIV’s are significantly rare in the community, that’s for sure. Final Fantasy XIV’s free Login Campaign started very recently and will go on until February 6, 2025, so there’s plenty of time for people to check out the new Crossroads update.
How to use the FFXIV Login Campaign for free game time
It’s incredibly easy to take advantage of the FFXIV Login Campaign, provided you meet the relatively simple requirements. Once you begin, you’ll have four days to play for free between January 9, 2025, through February 6, 2025. This time does tick down whether you play or not on a given day, so unfortunately, you must make it count. It’s still free time, however.
There are a few requirements though, and if you don’t meet them, you can’t use the FFXIV Login Campaign for a few free days back in the game. Below are the requirements you must meet before you can do this:
- Must have previously purchased and registered a copy of Final Fantasy XIV.
- All registered service accounts must be set as inactive during the campaign period.
- The registered service account must have been inactive for at least thirty days.
After you confirm you have met these requirements, all you must do is launch the FFXIV client and log in to begin the Login Campaign. Once you’ve logged in, the timer starts ticking down, but you’re free to go anywhere and do anything in Eorzea, such as play the first part of the Final Fantasy XI Alliance Raid.
If even one of your service accounts is active, you cannot take part in the FFXIV Login Campaign. There are other restrictions, too — if you have a service account that has been canceled or suspended due to rules violations, you cannot take part. You also cannot take part on a platform where you don’t have the game purchased/registered.
If you do have multiple service accounts, you will only gain the Login Campaign time for the first one you log into — not all of them, so that’s important to know as well. If you’ve met all the requirements and don’t have any of the negatives, you can log in and start playing right now! It’s only available for a limited time though, so if you have been considering returning to the game, now’s the time to find out for yourself.
